Bathroom: Episode VII
The Important Stuff
The next and most important step was getting the actual bathroom objects installed. We were super excited as we ordered all of that (quite expensive 😅) stuff without ever seeing it in real life. One of the reasons was the COVID lockdowns, but we also had a good gut feeling that going with Duravit products is a good choice: especially their “Luv” series – designed by danish designer Cecilie Manz and “C1” – designed by Kurt Merki Jr..
The most anticipated thing definitely was the bathtub. Mainly because we were excited to see if it would fit the concept of the room as we imagined it, but also because of the lingering question: will we actually be able to get it into the bathroom in the first floor?. Our staircase is very narrow, but the bathtub is quite big (180cm x 85cm) and weighs over 130kg. Fortunately we had some (5) experienced handymen that made it work – but it was a very close call 😅
Although there were still a lot of details (and the shower) that needed finishing: It was such an amazing feeling to finally be able to see how everything comes together.
